I am obsessed with the idea of disappearing one day, Hehey
From that comes my urge to « make »,Pokpok
And that is probably also why every day I keep painting, Dindong
Just to do something before dying, Blingbling.
Joking apart, for me painting is just about colours, shapes, spaces, paint and most of all about trying to be happier.
Yours faithfully,
Just to do something before dying, Blingbling.
Joking apart, for me painting is just about colours, shapes, spaces, paint and most of all about trying to be happier.
Yours faithfully,
Charlotte E. Develter
"Since Charlotte Develter started painting her pictural process leads her to question the surface and the illusion of the painting, creating a tension between the 'artifice' and the 'veracity' of the actual process of painting, exposing the duplicitous nature of representation. In her painting she opens the door to a mise en abyme of her work, in the painting scene or in the way the paintings resonate in the space of the exhibition. With a plastic intelligence dedicated to a reflective painting, but where the pictural accident always plays its part. "Painting for her is a daily action that helps her in the need to find a meaning in what she sees around her, and to fight against the constant feeling of loss and disappointment."
