Here, Léa Mayer works around the mental images, and more particularly around those who help in the tiredness. From diverse testimonies on these visual intimacies, she(it) created possible representations stemming from the imagination of the others.

"My work is a research on the complex relationship between people and images: what they see what they think, what they want to believe.
What is the influence of our "visual education" of our culture and our perception of a landscape, a space, reality? The way the brain decrypts the information and constructs the world is the core of my work.
I consider drawing as frank and direct medium which can organize and / or spark off reflections in the same way as writing. Drawing allows and helps to consider the reality which surrounds us.. The ambivalence of this medium in its realization time, in its communication possibilities and its material requirements, gives a highly stimulating freedom . It is predominant in my projects, sometimes combined with common visual forms "" such as maps, books, web etc..
I want to question the "acquired knowledge " of the viewer, his unconscious associations and destabilize its codes of readings. I try to exploit the gap between what is produced and what is felt.
Ultimately, I am interested in how the image is thought, organized, but also how it is perceived."
